My kids love me...

...even if they do go to the zoo without me. It's nice that I influenced their choice of photo subjects.








Guess which is my new favorite? The other tigers in STL are apparently lazy bums. They prefer the SHADE in 100% humidity with a temperature to match. The nerve.


The above picture is a sand cat. I think I'll spend $3 for a MetroLink ride just to go see him. He looks a lot like KitKat if you try to wake her up before she's good and ready.

This is a fennec fox. I probably didn't spell that right. I've never seen either one of them at the zoo before, so there's a lot there I missed. I have to go back just to add to my collection of poison dart frog pictures.

I did take a night off (gasp) on Monday, 07/16/07. We must write that and document it carefully. It's Mr. Sapphire's birthday, and the kids and I are having a Final Fantasy XII night. It's a night where they'll try to outlast Mom. Tiger's Eye might do it this year. We'll pass the controller around and take turns trying to kick monster butt, just like people used to do around the Yule log. Yeah, family values and all that. Load up on cake, Coca-Cola, and computer-generated characters.

Good for the soul.
