It was 102 degrees yesterday. Hot, hot, hot. I took Tiger's Eye to the school to get his books and pay the fees, which were still more in dollars than the temp was in degrees. I did this all on my typical three hours of sleep.
The kitchen was horrible. I was tired, I needed to work, I needed to make dinner...I flat out refused to go in the kitchen. Tiger's Eye? Nope, not going to help. KitKat? Stomach ache.
ManCub said he could make dinner without the stove. I said go for it.
He spent all evening being my garcon. He served me a ManCub-style Cobb salad, potato salad, and a ham-n-cheese quesadilla a la microwave. He filled my drinks and offered me dessert, and had me fill out a service questionnaire. He offered me waferneusse (German chocolate wafer cookies), and I told him if he couldn't pronounce it, he couldn't serve it. In the end, though, I caved. I needed chocolate!
It didn't end there. He got online and IM'd me about my needs. Gosh, I felt so loved.
Until the bill came. LOL! He had the gratuity all figured in, too. I paid 79 cents for the waferneusse at Aldi, but it came to $2 (with gratuity included). I told him he got $5 for the entire meal and he took it from my wallet, but I later found it back on my desk.
He gave me lots of hugs and lots of snuggles. I asked him how he knew I needed a little special treatment, and, still in garcon mode, he typed back "I just do madam.“
GERBIL NEWS: Anubis and Amber gave birth to six healthy little gerblets. Gerbils are so quiet that if you hear any squeaking, you automatically go check for babies. Hopefully, these guys will look like their parents, all black. Ashlee is also attending to the new additions.
****NEWSFLASH*****
Ashlee just gave birth to five. I now have 11 baby gerblets, all healthy and squeaking. Housing is going to be an issue...but I do have places for them to go when they're grown, so don't worry.
