...for just as long as it takes to get KitKat out the door. I didn't know paws could ache this badly! I didn't know nights could be so long! I didn't figure the cat would be so lonely in Tiger's Eye's absence that he felt the need to pester Mr. and Mrs. Sapphire all night long!
As far as I know, TE and Mr. F-18 Pilot are together. Neither have contacted me, so I guess they're having a good time. I worked my bippy off last night. I didn't anticipate such a heavy load at the surgical center, and, boy, did all those histories and physicals add up. Fifty pages, I typed for them. That's a lot.
GERBIL NEWS: All 11 gerblets are still alive and well. I got a good count, only because 8 were attached to Ashlee's nipples, and she was dragging them around, whilst three were in a corner. They've built such an intricate series of tunnels that it is impossible to find all of them unless they're out in the open.
Wow. The past few days have been a whirlwind flurry of activity. I, for one, am dismounting this carousel and going to the playhouse dreamland. Take me out of the worship service, for this whirling dervish is officially off duty.
1:20 PM: Now I'm blogging because my son called from the USS Stennis. He's wandering around aimlessly, trying to get a signal to call his mama. ::wiggling in seat:: He spent the night in my brother's "room." He snickered when he said that. They're doing all manners of safety drills today. I was so happy to hear from him that I just started obsessing about the "man overboard" drills and forgot to remind him about taking pictures, etc.
Happy sigh. It's just so much fun, as a mom, to know that your kid is having so much fun. I'm not there, and I don't need to be, because it's his day in the sun, so to speak, and I'm beaming, just because he's going to have something to talk about for the rest of his life.
End of warm fuzzies. I don't think I can go back to sleep now. I hope it doesn't throw off my schedule too much.
Another happy sigh. My son. MY son.
Okay, I'm done. :)
