I think, for sanity's sake, I'm going to just put all today's details in one blog.
8:40 AM: KitKat is dressed to the 9's and ManCub already doesn't want to wake up and go to school. I put mascara on KitKat's long lashes. She has to wait a full two minutes before the mascara dries, or else the lashes will mark her EYEBROWS when she opens her eyes. I had the right shade of lipstick.
Tiger's Eye is still in San Diego. I already have the tracker up and loaded. He's supposed to call before he gets on the plane. I've been up all night. I will be totally devastated if I miss that call.
Mr. Sapphire's a-watching, too. Excitement is running high, here, as are my "mom nerves."
he will be fine he will be fine he will be fine he will be fine he will be fine he will be fine he will be fine
12:35 PM: Honolulu bound... I'm not sure his enthusiasm comes across well, here LOL At any rate, good luck, Bud.
12:45 PM: He's right here:
5:08 PM: And now, he's right here:
Gosh, he's so close! Why is my stomach in a big knot?
5:41 PM: And he's landed!
Verizon works in Honolulu. I asked if he met anyone on the plane to hang with, and he said, of course, "Girls."
Then KitKat took the phone and ran with it, only minutes after telling us all about how we shouldn't worry about Tiger's Eye and how fun it is in the house without him and why oh why can't we just celebrate the fact that he's gone...
He'll be with my brother soon, Mr. F-18 Pilot. Tiger's Eye sounds like he's on top of the world, and, I guess, he should be...considering all the money I earned to put toward this trip you better be grateful you little twerp and oh-my-gosh am I very very jealous
10:25 PM: My mother officially confirmed the "girls" statement. Apparently, while waiting to leave San Diego, he struck up a friendship with a nice young lady with long dark hair while my mom struck up a friendship with his mother. Her dad's on the USS Stennis, and he takes care of the ejection seats of the planes, and Tiger's Eye has an acquaintance to hang with in down time with her dad and my brother as supervision. Life is good. I love you, Babe. Answer your e-mail. Brush your teeth. No swimming, K?
